Job Summary
Under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Operations, the Platoon Chief will supervise and administer an assigned Platoon to ensure efficient and effective operations as well as execution of daily activities, and programs.
The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education in Business, Public or Fire Administration, along with exceptional communication skills, leadership qualities, and proven ability in conflict resolution and critical and strategic thinking.
Reporting directly to the Fire Chief, the Fire Prevention Officer is responsible for all fire prevention activities including building inspections, occupancy reviews, and preventative community education. In addition the Fire Prevention Officer assists with Emergency Management and responds to events as a fire suppression Captain. Pay Band is $79,438 - $92,929.
