SCUGOG — The Scugog Fire Department is partnering with local community agencies and others to distribute 150 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that were donated by Enbridge Gas Distribution.

HURON - Effective immediately, the Huron County fire chiefs have lifted an open air fire ban in Huron County that was put in place July 6.

By the evening of July 22 there were 60 active forest fires across the Northeast. Of these, 28 are not yet under control, 32 are either being held, under control or being observed.
