Ontario’s Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week runs from November 1 to 7, and The Nation Fire Department reminds you to prevent carbon monoxide (CO) in your home by getting all fuel-burning appliances inspected annually.

COBOURG — A fire early Sunday morning that destroyed two CN Rail buildings in Cobourg is being called suspicious and investigated by the Ontario Fire Marshal.

SCUGOG — The Scugog Fire Department is once again urging residents to change the batteries in their home alarms when the clocks fall back this weekend. Daylight time comes to an end on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Thunder Bay – NEWS – A fire investigation is underway to determine the origin and cause of a fire at 18 Taylor Drive which sent 1 person to the hospital and resulted in the death of another.

A man in his 80s is dead following a two-alarm blaze at a seniors’ facility in North York overnight. Firefighters responded to a call around 2 a.m. Monday at the North York Seniors Centre on 5430 Yonge St. just south of Finch Avenue.

Two people were treated for burns and a boat went up in flames after several vessels caught fire at a marina in the Port Lands on Sunday.

Crews were called to the Good Samaritan Inn early this morning for a fire.  Timmins Fire Department Chief Fire Prevention Officer Rock Rice said the call came in around 3:40 a.m. 

The Howick Township fire department has wrapped up it’s “Alarmed For Life!” program for this year.
