Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue is thanking McDougall Energy for a $2,500 donation that will help supply smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to residents who need them most.
The funding supports the department’s CHiRP program, which focuses on home safety and ensuring households have working alarms. Fire officials say the contribution will make a meaningful difference in protecting families and reducing risk across the community.
The program provides alarms at no cost to vulnerable residents, along with safety education during home visits.
