Fire damages home in Ottawa’s rural south end

The Ottawa Fire Services is investigating an early morning fire that damaged a home in Ottawa’s rural south end.

Public Information Officer Nick DeFazio said 9-1-1 received multiple calls at approximately 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, reporting smoke and flames coming from a home at 6350 Snake Island Road.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they launched a defensive attack on the fire.

As of 7:45 a.m., the fire had not been declared under control.

There was a fire at the same location in 2021.
