Emergency crews responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Adjala-Tosorontio Sunday afternoon and were able to quickly contain it.
It happened at around 2:45 p.m. on County Road 50.
According to Todd Aitken, Adjala-Tosorontio’s fire chief, two of the township’s fire stations were dispatched after receiving reports for a vehicle fire.
“Upon arrival, no visible fire, minor smoke conditions, crew deployed a handline and overhauled the interior,” said Aitken. “The fire was contained to the passenger compartment with no extension.”
The OPP was also involved in the response.
Aitken added that the cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.
