Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed two more bodies have been found inside a burned home on Beatrice Town Line Road in Bracebridge, where officers responded to a report of gunfire Friday evening.
Police say officers with the Bracebridge OPP detachment were called to the rural property shortly after 8 p.m. on Aug. 1. When they arrived, they discovered a deceased male and found the residence fully engulfed in flames.
A shelter-in-place order was issued during the initial response and lifted just before 2 a.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, police confirmed that two additional bodies were located inside the home during the ongoing investigation. Their identities have not been confirmed, and post-mortem examinations are pending.
Police say they are still searching for 29-year-old Mitchell Gray of Bracebridge, who is wanted for murder. He is described as white, five-foot-eight, with light brown hair and facial hair.
Investigators say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The Bracebridge OPP Crime Unit is leading the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Office of the Fire Marshal, the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
