Here’s a way to spruce up your car or light truck and help residents in need in your community at the same time.
Central York Fire Services firefighters host a car wash on May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ian Laing headquarters at 300 Earl Stewart Dr. in Aurora, across the street from the Real Canadian Superstore.
Firefighters will collect money and donate the funds to the United Way of Greater Toronto to help fight poverty.
Donations of any denomination (cash, credit or debit card) will be accepted.
Also, car seat experts from St. John Ambulance will offer tips for how to install and adjust your car seat(s) as your child grows.
You can also chat with boat safety experts from York Regional Police.
In event of rain, the event will be held June 14. An alert will be announced if the date is changed.
