Ottawa Fire Services responded to a fire at a building in the 200 block of Dalhousie Street Wednesday evening.
According to a release from Ottawa Fire Services, firefighters responded to a call just before 7:30 p.m. and arrived at the scene to find black smoke and open flames visible on the third floor.
Firefighters say they searched the building and found no occupants, and the fire was extinguished and “contained to the area of origin before it could spread.”
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 8:10 p.m.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
