London police have made an arrest in relation to a suspicious fire that broke out at Western University on Thursday.
The fire department was called to campus shortly before 2 p.m., where a fire had been spotted at the school's Social Science Centre near Elgin and Western Roads. London fire said the blaze was quickly knocked down, but caused significant damage to the building.
A 37-year-old has been charged with one count of arson with disregard for human life, police said Wednesday.
The accused is a resident of Mississauga and is expected to appear in London court in late May.
