nvestigators are searching for the cause of a house fire in Barrhaven Sunday afternoon.

A neighbour who heard alarms coming from a home on North Harrow Drive called 9-1-1 just after 4 p.m. Smoke could be seen as fire crews arrived.

A news release from Ottawa Fire Services says no one was found inside the home after two full searches, but one firefighter was injured.

Officials initially said a firefighter was injured while battling the fire, but an update Monday morning said no injuries were reported.

The fire was contained and under control by 4:21 p.m. What caused it is under investigation.

This was one of three fires reported in the last 24 hours by Ottawa Fire Services.

Several people called 9-1-1 to report smoke and flames on the first floor of a townhouse on Catleaf Row in Orléans at around 11:24 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters said the blaze was under control in less than 20 minutes.

Photos from the scene show damage to the siding of two townhouses.

Another fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Saturday on Davidson’s Side Road near Shirley’s Bay. The fire was in the basement of the single-family home.

Despite there being no fire hydrants in the area, the fire was brought under control by 11:30 p.m. and prevented from spreading.
