One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a fire at a supportive housing building in Toronto.
The fire broke out at a residential building on Dovercourt Road, near Dundas Street West, shortly before 4 a.m.
Toronto Fire told CP24 that flames were reported in a unit on the second floor.
Most of the fire was extinguished by an internal sprinkler system and a resident was found with injuries out in the hallway of that floor.
The victim, a person in their 70s, was taken to a local trauma centre with serious injuries, paramedics said.
Fire investigators will be attending the scene later today.
