Ottawa firefighters helped rescue a curious feline who got stuck inside a car engine Sunday afternoon.
The Ottawa Fire Services say they were called to the 400 block of Richmond Road in the city’s west end after an elderly resident reported their cat getting stuck inside the engine bay of a vehicle.
Firefighters and police were able to find the vehicle owner who was able to pop the hood to free the cat, Ottawa fire says.
“Firefighter Gottlieb, who is also a trained veterinarian, was able to safely extricate the cat from the engine,” Ottawa fire said in a post on social media.
The cat was not injured and was returned to its owner.
