No one has been reported hurt following a barn fire in rural southwest Ottawa Tuesday afternoon.
Officials confirm no livestock were lost in the blaze.
The blaze broke out at a farm on Franktown Road near Dwyer Hill Road just before 12:30 p.m.
Heavy wind contributed to the spread of the flames and crews remained on scene well into the afternoon to deal with hot spots.
“When you have a wind-drive fire, you have to be very aware of your surroundings. The fire conditions can change very quickly, based on the gusts of wind,” said Ottawa Fire Chief Paul Hutt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
