The Town of Caledon is excited to announce the opening of Fire Station 310, a modern and sustainable facility that will enhance emergency response in south Caledon and the growing Mayfield West area.

Located at 12357 Chinguacousy Road, Station 310 is strategically positioned to serve one of Caledon's fastest-growing corridors, improving coverage for both existing neighbourhoods and future development. The new station reduces response times and supports the Town's commitment to high standards of public safety as the community continues to grow.

Fire Station 310 is approximately 15,000 square feet and features three apparatus bays, dedicated training space, offices, and firefighter accommodations. Its purpose-built design supports operational efficiency, firefighter wellness, and ongoing community training initiatives.

Designed with sustainability in mind, Station 310 incorporates energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible building practices, supporting the Town's commitment to low-carbon, resilient infrastructure. The facility includes a net-metered 100kW rooftop solar system, fully electric high-efficiency mechanical systems, and a smart building automation system to optimize performance and reduce long-term operating costs.

The station also reflects a strong focus on firefighter health and safety. Its layout separates contaminated operational areas from clean living and administrative spaces, supported by specialized ventilation systems that limit exposure to harmful substances and carcinogens. This design helps protect crews over the long term and supports safer daily operations.

The opening of Station 310 is part of a broader strategy to ensure Caledon Fire & Emergency Services continues to meet evolving service demands through strategic capital investment, staffing enhancements, and long-term growth planning. The station helps close coverage gaps, improves operational capacity, and strengthens public safety across residential and industrial areas in Mayfield West and surrounding communities.
