The Kingsville Fire Department says nobody was injured in a large fire early Saturday morning.

According to Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Jeremy McHardy, the call came in around midnight for a fire in the 2000-block of Seacliff Drive.

The response to the fire required approximately 20 firefighters, with crews on the scene for several hours.

OPP closed County Road 20 between County Roads 31 and 45 shortly before 2 a.m. due to the fire. It was reopened at 5:35 a.m.

McHardy notes the fire occurred in the shop of a business, but the cause of the fire remained undetermined.

“It’s a total loss,” he said, noting there was no estimate on the cost of the damage.
