Four fire stations are on the scene of a shed fire near Palmerston.
According to a post from the Minto Fire Department, Minto Fire, alongside the Wellington North Fire Department, Mapleton Fire Department and the North Perth Fire Department's Listowel Station, are currently responding to a shed fire near Bride Road and Third Line in Minto, east of Howick.
A second update posted to social media just after 11 a.m. said fire crews continue to be on the scene and are working to put out hot spots.
"The structure was unfortunately full of straw," said the notice. "Crews will remain on scene cooling the straw."
As a result, the post said several emergency vehicles will be driving back and forth at the edge of Palmerston, near Minto Road and Main Street, to fill their tankers.
All residents and commuters are asked to approach the area with caution.
