Firefighters responded to a fire at a Second Line West business at around 5:30 this morning.
"Upon arrival, fire crews were directed to the kitchen area of the commercial establishment. Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire," says a news release issued by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.
An investigation determined that the fire started in the stove area of the kitchen.
The business sustained minimal smoke and fire damage, and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
"Sault Fire Services would like to remind all commercial kitchen owners, under the Ontario Fire Code, all commercial kitchen equipment must be serviced and maintained regularly."
