An investigation is underway after a commercial building in the Municipality of Lakeshore was set on fire early Sunday morning, in what police believe is a suspicious act.
According to a news release, at approximately 12:58 a.m. on Sunday, members of the Essex County OPP and the Lakeshore Fire Department responded to Industrial Drive in Comber for a report of a commercial structure fire.
Police say the fire has since been deemed suspicious.
The OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation, and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified and is assisting.
There were no injuries reported.
Police say updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
Police are asking residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review any available security or surveillance footage for suspicious activity around the time of the incident.
