The Ontario Fire Marshal and Hamilton police are investigating a Saturday morning fire in the Greensville area.
According to Hamilton Fire Department Deputy Chief Trevor Haalstra, crews were dispatched to the structure fire at 4th Concession West and Brock road shortly after 7:08 a.m. on Feb. 28.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to find fire on both the exterior and the interior of the vacant house.
"Firefighters conducted a search of the occupancy while extinguishing the fire," noted Haalstra.
The OFM and Hamilton Police Arson Investigator were notified of the incident. Damage is estimated at $400,000 but the cause is undetermined.
Haalstra indicated that no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
