Residents will have the opportunity to interact with one of the city's emergency services next month.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Cambridge Fire Department is inviting the community to its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..
A meet-and-greet with firefighters and staff, tours of fire trucks, a fire demonstration and junior firefighter games are all planned.
A donation barbecue is also available with funds raised supporting Camp BUCKO. The program provides children suffering from burn injuries the opportunity to connect with others while healing in a fun environment.
The open house is taking place in the lead up to Fire Prevention Week, which runs from Oct. 5 to 11.
