Emergency crews responded to a heavy fire in the Town of the Blue Mountains early Saturday morning that caused significant damage to the property.
According to Steve Conn, the town’s fire chief, firefighters received a call around 2:30 a.m. for a structure fire at an Alfred Street West home.
Crews and tankers from both Blue Mountains fire halls and additional resources from Meaford were involved in the response as the incident happened in a non-hydrant area.
Chief Conn told CTV News that no injuries were reported, but confirmed that the structure was a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
