Several residents and their pets were lucky to escape after flames overwhelmed a large home in Clearview Township late Wednesday night.
Every fire station in the township responded to the massive blaze on Concession 6 near County Road 91/27-28 Sideroad shortly before midnight.
Fire crews were still at the scene on Thursday.
Officials say the home is a total loss, displacing seven residents. A damage estimate is unknown at this time.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office will be investigating the cause of the fire, which is not considered suspicious.
