The residents of a southeast Barrie home were unscathed after a fire in their garage Saturday afternoon.
According to Barrie’s deputy fire chief, crews were dispatched to the home on Trillium Crescent after the residents had discovered a fire in their garage.
Four trucks were involved in the response and the flames were quickly extinguished.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is not yet known, but the city’s deputy fire chief confirmed to CTV News that the Ontario Fire Marshal will not be involved.
He adds that the two residents might be displaced for a day or so as some of the smoke migrated into the home.
