Enhanced urban response

“This will be the primary response truck out of Station 1 for urban areas serviced by hydrant,” the city said on social media.

City officials said the truck is specifically intended to improve firefighting in the urban core as such the new apparatus is assigned the department’s primary fire hall located in the Mountjoy area.

Focus on high-rise, commercial fires

“This fleet upgrade will enhance Timmins Fire Department’s emergency response, especially to high-rise and large box store fires,” said the city.

Technical Capabilities

According to technical specifications from manufacturer Rosenbauer, the new truck is designed for a wide range of scenarios. The company states its Cobra platforms feature “SMART aerial technology for continuous function monitoring and enhanced safety” and are built with corrosion-resistant materials.
