Kingsville Alerts system changing

CTV News

The Town of Kingsville is changing its alerts system, making Kingsville Alerts inactive by the end of the month.

It said the system has been used rarely in the last few years and is expensive to license.

“Emergency communication continues to be a top priority,” said Jeff Dean, Kingsville’s Community Emergency Management Coordinator and Assistant Deputy Fire Chief.

“Our team is prepared, coordinated, and dedicated to ensuring the community receives essential information quickly and clearly.”

Updates will now be sent in various ways, including the news portal on the town’s website, the website’s alert banner, Kingsville social media accounts, and Ontario’s Ready Alert system, when deemed appropriate.

If you would like to subscribe to emergency alerts and news notifications, you can do so here. The town’s Facebook page is available here.
