A house fire in Guelph has sent one person to a trauma centre, while investigators try to work out exactly how it happened.
Guelph Police and the Guelph Fire Department said it happened around noon, Sunday, on York Road, near Morris Street, in the Stevenson Street South area.
Firefighters rescued one person from the house, whom police later said is a female resident.
Police said she was taken to a trauma centre in Hamilton with serious injuries.
Both Guelph fire officials, and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire.
There’s no word yet if this fire is considered suspicious or not.
