Do you have what it takes to pull over 40,000 pounds?
Teams in Timmins put their muscle to the test at the inaugural firetruck pull.
The United Way Centraide North East Ontario fundraiser had eight teams pull a Timmins Fire Department pumper truck down Cedar Street South.
While the money is still being added up, so far over $13,500 has been raised.
The Timmins Fire Department's team took the top spot, pulling the truck over the line in just over 24 seconds. Second place went to the Timmins Police Service, and Glencore Kidd Operations was third.
Northern College took home the spirit award, Discovery Porcupine won the best dressed, and Cochrane District Services Board (CDSB) got the flame award for the longest time to pull.
