Fire crews clear scene at Salvation Army Centre of Hope

London fire crews have cleared the scene at the Salvation Army’s Centre of Hope following reports of a structure fire on Friday.

According to a social media post from the London Fire Department, EMS and fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire at the Centre of Hope Salvation Army, located at 281 Wellington St. early Friday evening.

London fire says crews were deployed to the sixth floor for search and rescue and fire control.

In an update, London fire says the blaze was extinguished and that crews have cleared from the scene. All evacuees have also been allowed back inside.

No injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at approximately $5,000.
