On Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m. Station 3 and Station 1 received alarm for a boat fire with heavy black smoke visible at 100 Memorial Drive. Firefighters were on scene in four minutes and very quickly extinguished the fire. Bartletts Towing was asked to attend to deploy booms in the water to absorb the contaminates from the fire. The boat was successfully removed from the lake. The cause of the fire was not determined. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
