POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Chief of Fire, participates in planning, coordinating and directing the operation of the Thunder Bay Fire Rescue (TBFR). Specific responsibilities may be delegated to staff members, together with the necessary authority for their fulfillment, but the overall responsibility may neither be delegated nor relinquished.

Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the General Manager of Protective Services and reporting to the Fire Chief or designate, the First Deputy Fire Chief will contribute to the overall leadership of the fire department and is responsible for Fire Department Operations, Training and Public Safety and Yellowhead County’s Occupational Health and Safety Program. Focusing on but not limited to, emergency response, operational readiness of all staff and equipment including apparatus, ensuring all staff are trained to the department standard, fire investigations, fire inspections, fire prevention programs, Public Safety, the Organizations safety, and locating, assigning, and acquiring all water filling locations in Yellowhead County. The position also provides emergency response as required, assuming command as necessary and in accordance with the Yellowhead County Fire Services Standards.
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the General Manager of Protective Services and reporting to the Fire Chief or designate, the Third Deputy Fire Chief will contribute to the overall leadership of the fire department and is responsible for Emergency Management and Municipal Emergency Plan as well as but not limited to logistics, support services, procurement, fleet maintenance, fleet replacement, equipment replacement, and supporting the day-to-day operations and emergency requirements of the Yellowhead County Fire Service, providing technical and advisory assistance to the Fire Chief or designate and to the District Chiefs. This position provides emergency response as required, assuming command as necessary and in accordance with the Yellowhead County Fire Services Standards.
