No injuries were reported following a collision this morning involving two school buses and a passenger vehicle just north of Barrie.
The three-vehicle crash occurred just before the first bell on Monday morning as students were heading to start a new week at Horseshoe Heights Public School, which is located on Horseshoe Valley Road West near Line 6.
“One bus had children aboard, the other did not,” Oro-Medonte Fire Chief Roree Payment said.
Both Payment and Ontario Provincial Police confirmed no injuries were sustained as a result of the crash.
"The students were offloaded onto another bus and delivered to school,” Payment said.
Emergency services and the school's vice-principal attended the scene to provide support, said Sarah Kekewich, communications manager for the Simcoe County District School Board.
“Emergency services assessed all students and the driver and reported that there were no injuries," she said. "Students were transported to a spare vehicle and taken to school."
Horseshoe Heights Public School opened on Sept. 2.
