A house fire on Sunday afternoon brought a heavy emergency response to the intersection of Georgian Drive and Johnson Street in Barrie.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Police closed the area to traffic while more than a dozen firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control.
The extent of the damage has not yet been disclosed; however, Barrie’s fire chief, Kevin White, stated that the damage is significant.
Fire officials told CTV News that all residents made it out of the home, while one was transported to the local hospital with smoke inhalation.
Barrie police remain on scene helping with traffic control. The cause remains under investigation.
