Emergency crews responded to a fire at an unoccupied home in Collingwood Saturday afternoon.
It happened at a home on Maple Street near Second Street and Third Street.
According to Stephen Emo, the town’s deputy fire chief, the fire remained confined to the outside of the home.
“Wood siding on the outside of an addition to the rear of the home was on fire,” said Emo in an email to CTV News. “Crews got there quickly and got some water on it which prevented any spread of the fire.”
He added that there was some light smoke inside the home which was ventilated.
No one was home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
