Firefighters in Elliot Lake battled a fire this week involving two trailers north of the city. Both were destroyed by the blaze.
In a news release May 28, Fire Chief John Thomas said crews responded May 27 at 11:17 a.m. to a trailer fire on Panel Mine Road.
“Upon arrival on scene, the fire department crew reported two trailers on fire,” Thomas said in the release.
“Firefighters were able to protect surrounding trailers and prevent the fire from entering the tree line. Both trailers were lost. No injuries reported.”
The cause of the fire was accidental and is not suspicious in nature, Thomas added, thanking “the men and women of the Elliot Lake Fire Department for their quick response in containing the fire.”
