A boathouse in Muskoka caught fire late last week, illuminating the shoreline.
Crews were called to a reported structure fire on Lake Muskoka Friday night at around 7 p.m. and when they arrived on scene, they said the boathouse was fully engulfed in flames.
Muskoka Lakes Fire along with help from Walker’s Point, Windermere, Milford Bay and Port Carling crews worked to battle the blaze from all sides.
The fire department said marine units worked to extinguish the flames from the water and other workers smothered the flames from land.
The firefighters managed to stop the fire from spreading to the cottage nearby and any neighbouring properties.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.
There were no injuries reported.
