Position Title: District Deputy of Logistics and Equipment
Type of Position: Volunteer
Weekly Time Commitment: 5-8 hours
Compensation/Remuneration: None
Reporting Structure
Reporting directly to the Director of Logistics and Equipment you will provide assistance, support and updates as is required by the Director of Logistics and Equipment.
Geographic Areas of Responsibility
A district deputy position will be assigned to the following districts: Eastern Ontario, Northwestern Ontario, Northeastern Ontario and Southwestern Ontario. (Please see District Map Addendum on page four of this document)
Duties
Reporting directly to the Deputy Fire Chief, the Training Officer is responsible for the development, delivery, organization, and evaluation of all departmental training programs. This position is required evaluate the requirements of the department and develop programs to support continuous improvement, professional standards and legislative requirements.
The Training Officer is required to coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver fire service training to meet legislated requirements and industry best practices. This position is required to provide direction, guidance, recommendations, and instruction to staff related to training programs, services, or initiatives.
