The Village of Point Edward is seeking a full-time Fire Chief for a department consisting of three full-time employees, including the Fire Chief, and approximately 30 volunteers.
The Village is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Fire Chief. This leadership opportunity is intended for a candidate who understands the Village’s operations, values, and service expectations, and who can provide strong direction for all aspects of fire service delivery.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Fire Chief is responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight, and administrative direction for the Fire Department.
The Fire Chief is expected to build on existing departmental strengths by promoting accountability, professionalism, and consistent performance standards, while ensuring alignment with municipal policies, Council priorities, and the operational realities of a predominantly volunteer workforce.
