A plume of dark smoke could be seen along Line 13 in Oro-Medonte Tuesday after a farm implement caught fire.
Crews were dispatched just after 12 p.m. and arrived to find the equipment fully engulfed in flames.
Oro-Medonte Fire Chief Roree Payment told CTV News that the property owner had already moved nearby machinery out of harm’s way.
The blaze also spread to the surrounding grass, but the team was able to quickly contain it and extinguish it.
No injuries were reported and a damage estimate has not been disclosed.
