Windsor fire officials say damage is estimated at $400,000 after a house fire.
Crews responded to the 900 block of Broadway Street just before midnight on Monday.
The firefighters strategy changed back to defensive fire attack as smoke conditions were worsening. All crews exited the structure safely. There were 25 firefighters on scene battling the fire with EMS and Windsor police assisting.
Firefighters were unable to conduct an origin and cause investigation at the fire because the structure was unsafe to enter.
The house was occupied, but there were no injuries reported. Fire officials say the number of people displaced is unknown.
