Job Summary
As an integral member of the Senior Fire Management Team, the Division Chief, Fire Prevention and Risk Reduction provides strategic leadership and oversight for the City's fire prevention, public education, and risk reduction programs. Reporting to the Deputy Fire Chief, this role is responsible for the administration and delivery of fire prevention services, fire safety education, fire and explosion investigations, and regulatory enforcement activities. The Division Chief leads and develops a team dedicated to enhancing community safety, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and fire codes, and advancing progressive fire prevention and risk reduction initiatives across the City.

Lead Fire Protection Services That Safeguard Northern Ontario Communities.
The Office of the Fire Marshal is seeking its next Operations Manager to help lead one of Ontario's most unique public safety programs. This is an opportunity to provide leadership within the Northern Fire Protection Program (NFPP), supporting the people, services, and partnerships that help protect unincorporated communities across Northern Ontario.
Through its leadership in fire safety, prevention, education, and emergency preparedness, the Office of the Fire Marshal works to help reduce the loss of life and property from fire across the province. As part of this mandate, the Office oversees the NFPP, which delivers fire protection services to communities where municipal fire departments do not exist.
Resumes are being accepted for the position of Fire Prevention Officer within the Guelph Fire Department. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Fire Prevention Officer (ACFPO), the successful candidate is responsible for conducting fire safety inspections, fire cause and origin investigations, fire code enforcement and coordinating, planning and delivering public fire and life safety education programs, with a focus on quality customer service and continuous improvement.
