OFM Mutual Aid Symposium

2026 Fire Coordinators Annual Mutual Aid Meeting and Learning Symposium

The Fire Coordinators Annual Meeting and Learning Symposium brings together Fire Coordinators, Alternate Fire Coordinators, and Zone Fire Coordinators across the province to provide educational and networking opportunities to assist you in your role as a Fire Coordinator for your county, region, or district. The Fire Coordinator Symposium will take place on March 24th starting at 1pm, located at Deerhurst Resort (1235 Deerhurst Dr, Huntsville, ON P1H 2E8) and will conclude March 26th at 11am. The 2026 symposium that will focus on the following key themes:

Celebrating 75 years of the delivery of the Ontario Mutual Aid Plan: For generations, fire service partners across Ontario have answered the call – standing together to keep our communities connected, resilient and safe. As we celebrate 75 years of collaboration and service, these sessions will shine a spotlight on the power of teamwork, coordination and shared dedication to public safety.

Promoting the new 2026 – 2030 Province of Ontario Mutual Aid Plan: Building on the success of last year’s MAP Symposium, these sessions will highlight recent updates to the Ontario Mutual Aid Plan, developed through collaboration and feedback from the Mutual Aid Plan Committee.

Case Studies and Best Practices: Gain firsthand insights from fire service partners across Ontario that demonstrate how they are making a difference. These sessions feature inspiring case studies that highlight innovative approaches, best practices and key lessons learned-offering practical strategies you can implement in your own community.

Overall, the symposium serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and strengthening the Ontario Mutual Aid Program. We strongly encourage attendance by at least one representative (Co-ordinator, Alternate, and/or Zone) from each County, Region, or District.
