Township Fire Alerts is a public fire-safety information platform built for Ontario municipalities. It lets a fire department publish burn-ban status, live fire-danger conditions and emergency alerts directly to residents' phones. Residents check the app instead of calling the hall. Chiefs update the status in seconds from any phone or computer — no website edit, no IT department, no procurement project.
What it includes:
Live fire-danger index, drawn from Environment and Climate Change Canada and Natural Resources Canada fire-weather data — the same indices Ontario departments already work to.
Burn-ban publishing. Issue or lift a ban in seconds; residents see it immediately.
Push notifications and email alerts to subscribed residents. Unlimited notifications, no per-alert charges.
7-day fire-weather forecast focused on wildfire risk.
Public resources — burn by-laws, maps, contacts and prevention material.
Administrator console with role-based access and audit logging.
Built for Ontario. All resident data is hosted on Canadian-owned infrastructure in Canada. The municipality remains the institution under MFIPPA — we process resident information only on your behalf, as a service provider.
Township Fire Alerts is live in production with the Township of Stone Mills. Residents install one free app and choose their township, so a new municipality can be running in days rather than months, with no separate app store listing to wait on.
Founded by Peter Couvreur, a former Stone Mills firefighter. Built for his department first.
