A burning cottage on Lake Muskoka took priority Tuesday, as crews from four fire stations spent nearly seven hours battling intense flames on an island property.
Firefighters from Port Carling, Bala, Walkers Point and Milford Bay were called to the fully involved fire, which required a coordinated water response to reach the scene.
With submerged docks and floating flood debris making for difficult conditions, three marine units were used to transport 17 firefighters across the lake.
Fire officials say crews stayed on scene for several hours working to bring the blaze under control and prevent further spread. No injuries were reported.
