Two injuries have been reported following a Saturday morning house fire in Preston.
Fire crews were on the scene of a house fire on Queenston Road near Chestnut Street in Preston Saturday morning.
Deputy fire chief Brad Churchill said via email crews responded around 6:45 a.m. and were still actively on the scene after 9 a.m. putting out hot spots and completing ventilation.
"Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and completed primary and secondary searches," Churchill said. "The incident resulted in significant fire and smoke damage to the home."
Two occupants from the home had been transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
A Cambridge fire department investigator has been requested to determine the cause, origin and circumstances of the fire, Churchill said.
