Firefighters responded to a garage fire at a home on McDonald Street in Barrie, just north of the downtown core, on Friday night.
Deputy Fire Chief Justin Gilbert said crews were called to the property around 9 p.m., where property management staff were already present when the fire broke out.
The blaze was limited to a detached garage and was quickly brought under control by firefighters. No injuries were reported.
Officials say the cause of the fire has not been determined, but there is not enough evidence to consider it suspicious. As a result, Barrie police and the Ontario Fire Marshal will not be pursuing the matter further.
