As 2025 drew to a close, the Nation Fire Department took the opportunity to thank residents across the municipality for their continued support and commitment to fire safety, while also highlighting the scope of emergency response activities carried out over the past year.

Throughout 2025, firefighters responded to a total of 298 calls for service, reflecting the diverse range of emergencies handled by the department. These included 45 fire-related incidents, 42 medical assistance calls, 93 motor vehicle accidents, 65 alarm responses, and 53 other emergency situations.

“(The firefighters’) dedication to serving our community goes far beyond emergency response. Our crews commit many hours to ongoing training, certifications, and skill development to ensure they are prepared to respond safely and professionally,” wrote the Nation Fire Department on their Facebook post.

The department also expressed appreciation to residents for their cooperation and engagement in fire prevention efforts. Officials emphasized that fire safety is a shared responsibility and that community awareness, particularly the sharing of fire safety messages, plays a vital role in reducing risks and preventing emergencies.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Nation Fire Department reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening fire prevention initiatives, emergency preparedness, and overall community safety throughout the municipality.

Residents were encouraged to continue working alongside the department to promote a safer community for all.
