The Town of New Tecumseth celebrated a major milestone in the construction of Fire Station 4 in Alliston last week.

On Friday, December 12th, as Mayor Richard Norcross and members of council gathered on site to sign a piece of structural steel, symbolizing the project’s progress and the town’s commitment to public safety.

Mayor Norcross said the milestone represents more than the building itself, noting it reflects council’s focus on keeping the community safe, prepared, and resilient as New Tecumseth continues to grow. Fire Chief Dan Heydon added that the new station will enhance emergency response times and support the delivery of modern, efficient fire services for residents now and in the future.

With the structural steel framework complete, the project will now move into exterior and interior construction phases as the new fire station moves closer to becoming operational.
