CTV News

Greater Sudbury Fire Services were called to Herbert Street on Tuesday morning to battle a major residential fire.

The fire, which deputy fire chief Jesse Oshell said is not believed to be suspicious, sent three people to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

The call came in at 8 a.m., Oshell said. The structure is located near Second Avenue in Minnow Lake.

Smoke damage is “significant,” he said, but the fire is now under control. Damage is estimated at around $250,000.
