Flames and flashing lights could be seen Monday morning in Bala after firefighters were called to a structure fire near one of Muskoka’s most well-known venues.
Just before 6 a.m., crews from Bala, Torrance, Foots Bay, Walkers Point, Glen Orchard and Port Carling responded to a call at The KEE to Bala.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered a fire burning behind Bala Falls Pub, next to the popular venue.
Crews launched what they described as a “fast attack,” bringing the flames under control and keeping the blaze from spreading any further.
No other structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
Muskoka fire officials say the damage is estimated at roughly $20,000. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
